Breast Cancer Awareness
Every October, the world comes together to fight breast cancer. People are raising awareness and funds from America to Australia to support patients and families affected by this devastating disease. This month, we want to take a moment to say thank you. Thank you to the researchers working tirelessly to find a cure.
We are grateful for your expertise in the doctors and nurses providing around-the-clock care. Thank you to the friends and family members offering love and support. And thank you to the patients fighting courageously every day. We are so grateful for everything you do.
In America alone, an estimated 268,600 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year. That’s why organizations like the American Cancer Society are working tirelessly to support patients and families affected by the disease. Through programs like Road To Recovery, ACS provides free transportation to and from treatment for patients who need it. They also offer a 24/7 helpline staffed by trained cancer information specialists and a place for patients to connect online. These resources provide valuable information and support for patients when they need it most.
Outside of America, UK organizations like Breast Cancer Care provide similar services. They offer one-to-one support from specialist nurses, as well as practical advice on everything from managing side effects to dealing with the financial impact of cancer. They also have an online forum where patients can connect, share their experiences, and offer support.
This October let’s all take a moment to say thank you to the people around the world fighting for breast cancer patients. From researchers working tirelessly to find a cure to doctors and nurses providing around-the-clock care to friends and family members offering love and support—we are so grateful for everything you do. Together, we can make a difference in the fight against breast cancer.
